In 2014, I launched a podcast called The Bulletproof Entrepreneur. At first, it focused heavily on African entrepreneurship. Over time, the conversations widened. I spoke with founders, executives, investors, authors and operators about what it actually takes to build something durable.
That work changed the direction of my career. I began writing more seriously, and writing became the center of my work.
The questions I asked on the podcast now drive my work at Business Insider, where I interview CEOs and founders for first-person profiles about how they work and live. They also led me into vertical entertainment.
I became fascinated by short, mobile-first scripted drama and the infrastructure forming around it. The content was moving quickly. The professional ecosystem around it was not. So I started building, beginning with Vertical Drama Jobs in 2025.
Everything I've built comes from the same habit: find something interesting early, talk to the people closest to it, understand how the money and incentives work, and build something useful around what you learn. That's the work I plan to keep doing.
